work drags
Jan. 30th, 2004 10:36 pmThings pass slowly tonight, and no one wants to be here. On the bright side I have recieved compliments from my supervisor for volunteering my time in an effort to encourage more employee feedback. What makes this a pleasant task is that Cowboy is genuinely concerned about those of us working on his side of the office, and actually does want to hear from us. He told me last night that I had managed to convince one of the most resistant employees to actually open his email and use it. I like feeling as if I have accomplished something more than just filling in numbers every night.
One of our coworkers has taken a fulltime day job in addition to working here. Eighty hours a week, for as long as he can stand it, in hopes of not losing his home. He's got a young son at home too. I don't even know what to say. Maybe Thanks and a big Fuck you buddy to the President and our economy.
I forgot to bring in my cds tonight, and listening to Norris sing badly at the top of his lungs is not what I had in mind.
