Bless the learning channel, for all their odd shows. The episode of A Wedding Story today was all about this cute couple who liked to dress up as Klingons and go to Star Trek bars and conventions in Vegas. They got married on the bridge of the Enterprise in costumes. How delightfully geeky and sweet.

I am beginning to understand the appeal of Vegas. It's a giant fake city within a city.

Alan's sick, but I'm not really sure what's wrong. I came home last night and knocked on the door of the bathroom, because I could hear the shower. Waited for fifteen minutes or so, and by then he had gone to bed. He's still in bed, and I hesitate to wake him up.

Took forever to fall asleep last night, because I kept having panic attacks. I worry too much. Between Alan being sick and being so horribly stressed out from work last night, it tooks hours before I could sleep. Woke up pretty early though. I suppose I should run errands now.

yoga will help the panic attacks. i get them too sometimes. also go to www.drweil.com and he has info about managing panic attacks. probably will tell you foods to eat and herbs to take.

good luck with the illness. tell him to drink lots of water and take lots of vitamin c and not to smoke so much!

can you tell i'm a mom?

Do you have a super mom cape you keep hidden under the bed? :P

You know, of all the weirdest coping techniques that helps me get calm enough to sleep, it has to be math. Math! I do multiplication tables, and usually fall asleep around 6 or 7.

I bought pounds of oranges!

you always buy punds of oranges
the math thing is funny
i have no cape. :(

i may be able to solve your dentist problem though. my neighbor has really sensitive teeth and she goes to this dentist that lights candles and gives her gas just for the cleaning. it isn't good for her staff, but it may work for you. i will try to get the number

I've never been to Vegas, but I'd love to go. I think I'd like to go one year, starting right before Christmas and ending right after New Year's Day, if only because it's the least familial place I can think of.

In any case, I hope you can find a way to get past the panic attacks and that Alan feels better soon.

Good luck tolerating that city for that long. I went for 4 days and was so ready to leave. It was fun, but it wears on you.

I do recommend going at least once in your life though.

Yeah I can't imagine many people taking their kids to Vegas.

Alan's up and moving so it's starting to get better.

That's so cute!! Everyone should be able to have their dream wedding. I mean, you got married in Lorien...sorta... ;)
Saw something about Vegas on TV, about all of the new resort hotels. Gambling never appealed to me, but some of those places sound really cool.
Worrying is such a had habit to stop. The only good thing i ever got out of it was loosing weight once from not eating because of the stomach aches i would get. That's really not good thing though...
We should go have ice cream. :) And you should come to out flacc meeting if you've the time this weekend.
Hope Alan is feeling better.

Exactly. They even had a host of Klingon warriors there!

Mmm ice cream. Yeah, I just need to sort of some things out, and I think I'll start feeling better. I need a grand plan.

You must go to Vegas! It is like no other place. Now if I could just go back without my parents... I think I may get the chance this summer since I am participating in College Bowl and the IFT Meeting is in Vegas...

Vegas is so weird! I would just wander around and stare at things. College Bowl is cool from what I hear, rock on.
