New icon, courtesy of all the people who pointed me towards the original picture. Originally it was a Final Fantasy character, but I stripped out the color and tried to make it look like the moon was behind her. It's for Anna, my werewolf character. She's fairly young, and has a pretty interesting background.

I'm going to attempt some original fiction about her. Since I can barely remember the last time I wrote anything new I'll probably filter the entries. So, if you want to see any of it you need to vote.

I'd like to read it, if you'd re-add me to your friends list. Your call, of course.

I used to write all of the time when i was younger. Since i went to college though, i started writing less and less. These days I'm lucky to scribble out a half-ass poem when the muse strikes.
I look forward to reading your work.
Elisa has suggested starting a writing group. Would you be interested?

Me too, me too. And that writing group, that could be good. We could meet in Metro and wear berets and be pretentious. ;)

Writing and gaming...

Hm.

Have you ever considered playing in a play-by-email game?

I've played in a couple journal based online games, but nothing by email. How does that work exactly?

Pretty much the same, except turns or actions, story, etc, are passed via email. Most GMs use a mailing list of some sort and rely on players to differentiate between player & character knowledge. Some are less trusting, though, and will work the characters along alone... Me, I prefer an open mailing-list format... And I prefer to see it as collaborative fiction, because it reminds me that the rules are there to support the story, not define it.

I think the point of most online gaming is a sort of effort at collaborative fiction. (And then of course the godmodders and mary sues come into play...)

It seems like playing online is the only outlet we'll have for a bit, at least until my DM gets himself together.

I've been kind of itching to get back into it.

If I decide to put a pbem together, would you like me to let you know? I'm not sure what game-system I'd go with, though at the moment, I *am* leaning towards a werewolf game...

Ooh. Definitely let me know. I'm definitely in for a werewolf game. The only White Wolf I've ever played much would be Werewolf and Vampire, though if you wind up going with something else I can always pick up a new book and learn. :D

as long as it's not slash or fanfic. Otherwise I'd love to.

So no lesbian werewolf love? Awww. It could be great! ;)

It's not fanfic, as she's my own character from a tabletop game. I've grown rather fond of her, and I think she has potential for at least a good short story or two.
