today is

Slept poorly, waking every hour or so during the night. Dreamed about a giant vanilla bean, for reasons unknown to me. Had lunch with my father, which was good. Friendly rockabilly waiter at Threadgills with lots of tattoos, chicken fried steak sandwich and fried okra and iced tea. Gave my father some books. Came home, put some laundry in the machine. Alan's been asleep since I got home last night.

I know nothing about Prague, so I have a question for you. I'm working on that guy's story idea, and my girl has awoken in Prague only she doesn't know where she is. She needs to look out the window and see something recognizable so that she realizes where she is. I'm thinking she's been there once before, but that could get complicated, so maybe she's just seen a picture of something. A famous street or a church or a building or something that she can see from a random, nameless hotel room and go, "Oh. I'm in Prague." Any suggestions?

Let's see. She could look out the window and see The castle and St Vitus cathedral. Or the cathedral in the Old Town Square. Those are most quintessentially Prague.
