threeplusfireI like memes, provided they are not too long. Memes should be brief and pointed, or pointless. They are more fun that way. Not unlike Alan's game of Pinging. Anyhow, I kept forgetting to write this meme down. Since I'm trapped at work until well after 1am I might as well play some ping and catch memes in glass jars.

Only This Life, because it is the truth after all. One of my greatest frustrations is that I have only this life to experience, and I want so much more. It would be easier if I believed in reincarnation, but I don't. It also hearkens to a line scribbled on the wall in Metro I saw in 2000, just before Christmas. Melynda and I went to see a really bad vampire movie and then out for coffee where I found myself staring at a smiley face with fangs and the line "I am only what I am at this moment" written with a sharpie. It was painted over months later.
My subtitle is _____ because _____.
"all we are is all so far" is a line from an Our Lady Peace song. I like that band, perhaps more than any other rock band I've heard in the past ten years. If I wanted to be more philosophical about it, I could say that line also reflects my feelings on our mecurial natures, and that strangely compelling wall scribble mentioned above. I can't get that damned thing out of my head.

Voices in the Wired, which is a reference to the anime series Lain. If you have not seen it, you should immediately rectify your grave mistake. It's a beautiful piece of work. The Wired is what the internet (more or less) is called in the story.

My user name has been Tsarina since about the time I started college. I've stuck with it because it reflects my Slavophile tendencies and my wild elitism. What can I say, I like the aristocracy.
