So I have been puzzled by the recent spate of posts asking for anonymous comments on hate for other LJers, fandoms, etc. Yeah, we all need to vent our ire. But so rarely does anyone vent it in a creative and interesting manner.

Granted, there are a number of people I intensely dislike. That batshit Australian motherfucker springs to mind, as does some of the people responsible for schisms in RPGS I've played in both on and offline. Three Piece Suit boy also springs to mind, along with many others. It's perfectly normal to have feelings of intense dislike for others. Hell, I belong to a community devoted to complaining about RPG bullshit. I think however that where, when and how you express those feelings should be a matter of consideration.

Having massive dislike for inanimate objects is much less personal however! That is, unless one decides to take it personally. Which is silly, I think. I may goggle at people who don't agree with me, but it's really not personal. After all, I did sit through Bridget Jones' Diary with Melynda because she loves terrible romantic comedies. I deserved it though, as I made her sit through Warlock some time back, which is an atrocious horror movie that makes me giggle.

Alan and I are united in our dislike for The English Patient, which is possibly one of the most boring films ever created. I feel much like Elaine in Seinfeld, screaming silently. I don't remember what year Waterworld came out, but I do remember someone's mother taking us to see it. Why, oh why did we do it? Those hours of my life will never come back!

Let's not even enumerate the horrors of The Piano Teacher, which sent both Gene and I into shock.

Melynda and I saw one of the worst vampire movies ever, the stunningly bad Dracula 2000. It's only redeeming qualities were Omar Epps and Gerad Butler's nice coat.

However the absolute worst movie I've ever seen would have to be one of the Sunday afternoon horrors that Cate and I would watch at the Little House. Rob Lowe's Illegally Yours was full of the worst of the 80s, from the bad glasses to a script written by someone high on cocaine. Even worse was Millenium from 1989. It had Kris Kristofferson and Cheryl Ladd, along with the worst ending ever. Really. Ask Cate if you don't believe me.

What was the worst movie you've ever seen? What movie do you hate more than any other? Extra points if you write a haiku or express your dislike in an especially creative or funny manner.

Magnolia... oh how I hate thee.

I thought you were through.
Then you kept going.
Frogs rained from the sky.

Okay, so I'm not a poet... whatever. I hated that movie. And I'm with you on the English Patient as well.

the ending in the book was not much better, but much clearer.

I've only read one Varley novel, Steel Beach. IT was kinda cool.

There is a bad movie called Yore
Whose premise is a total bore
The acting's a curse
The costumes are worse
Serving only to make my ass sore

Hurrah for limericks!
I vaguely remember this movie. But if I have seen it, I have blocked it from my mind.

I've been meaning to answer this all week
