Jonqui's suggestion - Robin and Amon. Ribbon, penguins, and Harry's.
Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you
Why can't I speak whenever I talk about you?
Liz Phair - Why Can't I
He waited at the bar in Harry's, an untouched drink in front of him. The ribbon slipped through his fingers over and over, the last tangible connection he had to her. One shiny, slippery ribbon that held her hair out of her face while she worked perhaps. Perhaps it was only a touchstone, a sign she assumed he would recognize.
Amon was not the kind of person to sigh, tap his fingers, or swirl the ice in his class. For the better part of an hour, he waited at Harry's without saying a word. "What are you doing here?" The ghoul peered nervously around the edge of the heavy wooden door.
"I'm here to see your boss, now get out of the way." Anna shoved the ghoul out of her way as gently as her temper would allow. She kicked the door shut and started off down the hall, her boots echoing loudly on the wood floors.
"Wait, wait, wait, he doesn't like to be woken so early," Marlene squeaked. She skittered after Anna, hands fluttering and waving. "This is a very bad idea. I don't think you should go in there."
"Shut up before I eat you," Anna snarled.
