It feels like weeks since Thursday, which must be the influence of the numerous pills I must take every day. It will be very strange to go back to feeling pain again one day.

Watching Kiss of the Dragon, which would have been a much better movie without all of Bridget Fonda's whining. Still, Jet Li makes a lot of things fun. I saw this one in the theater two or three times, I think. Tcheky Karyo is attractive, even when evil.

Currently reading Ellen Kushner's The Fall of the Kings. Set sometime after Swordspoint, it involves academic drama, ancient history and some very slashy love. (I can't help but think of Alex and Meier while reading, with all this talk of kings and wizards.) If you like fantasy, archives, and gay men then this is the book for you.

My current daydream is to have a place where Alan opens for dinner and makes his fabulous culinary creations at night. During the day, it will be more like a cafe with coffees and teas and pastries. I watched an amazing thng about donughts earlier and it showed these rose petal glazed donughts. I'm trying to figure out if I could bake tiny angel food cakes and dip them in chocolate. Perhaps I'll stuff them with chocolate ganache.

This long weekend has been good to me.

Apparently the new printing includes a couple extra stories? I am very much enjoying the new novel. So so so so so gay. I am thinking of writing pointless Alex/Meier smut later to celebrate.

I have not! I fear driving in San Antonio. But it could be worth it for fabulous hats. I keep thinking I should hit the sales at the Saks they opened in the Arboretum.

ohohoho-
but it's not hats! it's a "down the rabbit hole" sort of tea house! it's food! and old assorted tea cups! and pots of tea!

Oh that's really cool. Perhaps a trip is in order this summer... did you ever go to the Paper Bear in San Marcos? It had all kinds of neat things.
