I am in a foul, foul mood.
However, I would be most grateful if anyone out there has a way of cleaning cat piss off leather boots. For some reason, the cat found it necessary to piss on my favorite matte Doc Martens. I am so not happy.

Do it quickly, because corodes. Make sure you stuff something absorbant inside the boot as you clean so the smell doesn't leak through, and get that anti-catpee smell stuff from the pet store. Also they have all natural stuff made with oranges I think that deters cats from peeing on your stuff.

But what do I use to clean the leather?

SOap and water, and then get that anti-smell stuff to spray on it. If you can go get actual leather soap, that's better, and make sure the water is cold.

Thanks. Off to the store I go.

since you're at it...

you could always do the full on strip-down and re-polish of the boots.

I did it once to a friend of mine's docs.. well just one of them so I guess it would be a "doc". I brought the boot to a high polish shine. He tried in vain to do the other.

bastard, he thought he was going to get a free boot shine outta me just cause I was back from IET.

That's probably not a bad idea. They are getting along in years. I promise not to try and get you to shine my boots. ;) I kinda like doing it myself.

Nature's Miracle. It's the only stuff that kills that awful cat piss odor. You can spray it on the boots, I think, with relatively little damage to the leather.

I'm sorry. That really bites.
When I got New Cat he did the whole marking territory thing. Got my back pack. It's taken forever to get the smell out of that.

I certainly don't advocate violence against animals, but that cat sure was asking for it!

I'd get in a lot of trouble if I did anything to the cat. Poor dumb cat. He will never know how close he came to becoming soup. ;)
