everything is annoying

I just realized that not only did my cousin schedule her wedding for the weekend when Prisoner of Azkaban debuts, it is also the weekend of the Belmont Stakes! The weekend of the race where there's a horse that could take the Triple Crown for the first time since 1978! Damn it. I have to drive to my least favorite city in Texas, on a weekend where Melynda won't even be there, and miss the race. I completely realize how petty this sounds, but I am annoyed.

Finances have become quite strained, given the spate of medical bills and unexpected expenses lately. It's better than it could be, I suppose, since I had saved up money for just such emergencies. It's frustrating and depressing to know you have exactly $43 left in the checking account until the next paycheck. It's even worse when it's me, quietly fretting over this. I hate the money, I hate the money. I hate worrying about it. I hate being poor. I hate not having any sort of financial security. I hate knowing that I can't fucking afford my favorite restaraunt and a birthday dinner. Another superbly petty moment in the grand scheme of things, but there it is. At least I know how ridiculous it sounds.

In the meantime, I will research options for escape.

Drinking and smoking at my house=free and relaxing. I have some stupid Skyys in the fridge, but would also be willing to spring for a six pack of cider. No smoking in the house, but we have chairs on the patio. :)

Go north on 183 and exit Mopac south. Stay in the far right lane to exit Steck. Turn right on Steck. It's the first apartment complex on the left. Le Montreaux. There's a fountain. If the gate is closed, look up my name (Quigley, Sarah) on the intercom and I'll let you in. Park on the left side of the pool, then head back toward the road on foot. It's apartment 1007. If you're facing Steck from the pool, we're the second apartment fully facing the road. If that makes sense. If you can't find it, call me.

Yes.
I will go back in the fall...if all goes according to plan. But in the meantime...job search.
