threeplusfireMuch as I wish I could say it was passionate Kundera-esque sex, we hiked up and down Guadalupe searching for a video store with a subtitled copy of The Thief for Professor L.'s Russian film screening tonight. (or rather, him striding and me skipping, since the man is more than a foot taller than me and walks like the devil is on his heels) Vulcan's copy was taken, but we found it at Blockbuster. It's only about 8 blocks away from campus, but in today's swampy air it was not the most fun trek. We felt like boiled potatos by the time we made it back to Calhoun. Remind me to avoid walking anywhere until the weather changes.
I am so excited! Professor Charles Townsend, Chairman of Slavic Studies at Princeton and world famous linguist, is coming to speak to my Czech class! This man is so awesome. I can't believe Hana asked him to speak to our little first year class, that is just so neat.
In other news, I found a voucher that gets me a $340 flight from Northwest in my mail today, so maybe I can make it up to Montana to visit the wonderful Miss Rose. Now I must figure out what I want her to create for me and how much fabric to buy! Yay!
