I've been at work for almost half an hour, and it's quiet. I am also the only person who apprreciates bad technopop at this early hour I think.

Last night I finished Heda Margolius Kovaly's memoir, and it was hard to sleep afterwards. There are several things I will have to transcribe here, to remember them. She spoke about the three great forces of her life - Hitler, Stalin, and the little bird living in her rib cage. The first two tried to eradicate her from the earth, and the last kept her alive.

I have been sitting here for ten minutes quietly singing along with the technopop, because I just don't feel like working.

You could freak them all out by getting up and dancing to the technopop :-D

That would be especially funny when they play TATU.

You liked the book, then? Even though it kept you awake?

Oh yes. I love that period of history, and I remain endlessly fascinated by it. Most especially I loved her rage at the party members during the "rehabilitation" of her Rudolph.
