birthday meal

For dinner: vegetable samosas and corriander calimari, onion cilantro naan bread, a mixed grill of many meats for Alan and lamb korma for me. It was all so superbly delicious and we are absolutely stuffed with food. I had a sparkling and delicious gin and tonic with Bombay Sapphire to celebrate. Once home we had a couple of raspberry cordials, which qualify as the sweetest shots I've ever done in my life. They were like candies.
Edward and Joan sent me a gift card to buy books, and Rach sent a big box full of candies and soaps and a beautiful red clutch purse thing that is super cool.I missed all the phone calls, as we left early for the restaraunt. But everyone left fabulous nice messages, and the evening has been grand.
Off to drink port now and be lazy. If I had any balls and cared about missing a day's pay I would call in tomorrow. But there is a three day weekend ahead, and I will be incredibly lazy about it.
