Jun. 1st, 2004 08:15 pmI am waiting for the rain. The heavy storms and potential tornados should be north of us. I am somewhat surprised I did not find myself in a hail storm or watching green black clouds. They usually come right around my birthday. I will never forget a time when I was maybe nine or ten, living in our first home in Austin on Barrington. I stood out in the backyard and looked directly up into a swirling green cloud. A baby tornado, not quite ready to descend. I must have watched it for a good five or ten minutes before my mother made me go inside.
We went to the Hut after work, which isn't such a bad place without the karoke. Plus, the drinks were cheaper than usual. Due to my lack of nourishment, they made me a little fuzzy round the edges. So we over compensated by eating enormous hamburgers, and mine was slathered in delicious honey mustard. Two hours later and I'm still full.

I meant to comment on this before, but dude -- you've got Jan Švankmajer in your interest list. Sweet! Is it safe to assume that you've seen the Quay Brothers' homage?
