Tonight I had my last beer with Gene. (For the present at least) Well, I drank cider and he cycled through lots of beers, including and Imperial Pilsner that almost tasted of strawberries. I'm not sure how I feel yet, other than tired and jangled. I'll probably cry later.

This moving on, changing aspect of getting older has forced my life into more and more surreal contortions. Mostly I don't want to think about it.

Oh god I'm tired. The Draught House has food now, but their oven broke so we never got to eat nachos. I picked up fast food on the way home.

Thanks alot. You may be crying later but you've got me crying now. You need to amend your opening sentence though. You've had your last beer with Gene for the time being. Your entry has a note of finality about it that I can't even begin to accept.
