swathed in brocades

I went a little crazy in the fabric store when I noticed my favorite brocade was in short supply. I bought the last five yards and I'll make a coat or something out of it. I feel like I'm going to end up hoarding all sorts of random fabrics. We're acquiring stuff rapidly. I'm ready to chunk my other unused and half finished hobbies for this. It's a lot more satisfying to actually make something. A billion pillows! Perhaps I'll even get up enough experience to make things I could sell on ebay.

Every little step away from the mundane world is a happy one.

my hoardingfetish is yarn. i'm not as bad as some people as i tend to buy with a project in mind, but somehow i do have 3 large tubs plus 4 small bins worth :)

i know you aren't looking for a hobby, but i still think you would enjoy knitting muchly.

I definitely need to set some limits and devise a storage system so it doesn't get out of control. Fighting my packrat tendencies is hard. ;)

I crocheted a little bit, but I never enjoyed it as much. Perhaps one day I will fall back into the yarn.
