I read one of the humorous and random posts on this journal, written by a friend in disguise. Someone left a comment, expressing doubt about Sam Houston's quote and I responded by noting that Texas has a significant economy. The person responded with a comment about the oil lobby and I tried to point out that while oil & minerals are a large part of the picture, our economy has diversified a lot since the 1980s. There's more than just oil here. Now I'm wondering why this person deleted their comments, unless it was all an elaborate joke? I am sad, and I still haven't found a good breakdown of the state's gross product!

So, so exhausted and for no good reason. Maybe I'm just not sleeping well. But things are going okay, better than they have been lately. We went grocery shopping, mostly for kleenexes because Alan has been sneezing his fool head off this week. I purchased lots of vegetables for a multitude of quiches. At some point I also plan on branching into savory pies. Savory pies are neat.

For now, I just want to lay on the couch like a lump and watch Tombstone. Damn fine movie, and full of hilarious lines. Much better for my blood pressure than watching the debates.
