I hate the ignorant savages in our apartment complex. Let's make it clear that I'm not a racist. I can dislike people of all colors and creeds equally. At most you can label me an elitest bitch because I can't stand people who are deliberately and willfully morons.

Half of the machines in our laundromat are broken, and I'm willing to bet all my quarters that it was the guy I saw in there yesterday who was slamming shit around so loudly that it startled me inside my apartment. This means two of the four washers don't work, leaving me with one functional machine and one that has no water pressure and takes two hours to run a cycle. One of the two dryers is also broken, as the hatch will not close no matter how much I examine and fiddle with it.

So instead of taking an hour and fifteen minutes to get all the laundry done, as our dryers only give us 30 minute runs for our dollar, the laundry has so far taken an hour and a half. The one washer isn't even done rinsing. I know, I should have just gone to my mom's or someone with a real setup. But I thought it was early, I didn't want to leave the house, and I could get some laundry done while I lazed around in the early morning gloom.

Five more months, and then we can leave. Five more months.

The only thing that redeems the litany of horrors about this complex is the very low rent and the layout of the apartment itself. That's why we've stuck it out this long.
