I don't know about anyone else, but I want to see Finding Neverland so much that it hurts. I don't know how to explain it. It's not just Depp, either.

Completely agree. I saw the trailer when I took the kids to see Shark's Tale. Something about the trailer made me almost cry.

Inexplicable.

Exactly, that is exactly what I'm talking about.

I know this isn't precisely what you mean, but...

I find it fascinating that both Peter Pan movies in specific (and in looking up this movie, my urge to see it just skyrocketed since A) Jason Isaacs, and B) it's fascinating that he's playing both Hook and Mr. Darling) and fantasy movies in general are enjoying such boom business; I know I'm not alone in noting that they offer an escapism from troubled times, as well as generally being excellent movies in their own right. Neverland seems one of the purest expressions of that- of creating a happier world.

I think it's because so many people want to escape and so many people want to believe life is capable of offering us more than color coded terror alerts and such.

What draws me about this one in paticular is that it tells you about someone trying so hard to create that fantasy, and the yearning in him.

I'm actually teary-eyed. That was amazing. I'll be there on opening night.

It provokes such a strong reaction, and I can't think of a better reason to see a film.

Have you ever read the book? Peter Pan, I mean. Have you read it? I must send you a poem right now.

I have, and I remember reading it in my grandparents' house in the long summers of my early childhood.

Ahh. I didn't read it until I was an adult, and it affected me to the very core. Few books have touched me the way that one did.

It's interesting, I know so few people who write poetry in any sort of traditional format. It's refreshing.

Poor Hook.

That one's almost a decade old now, but I think it holds up well. It's unlike the pieces I'm doing now but I still like it.

I'm really looking forward to it, just because it seems so wonderful.
