I like this holiday

SPAIN: BOOK AND LOVERS' DAY

This celebration in Barcelona is Spain's version of Valentine's Day. It celebrates St. George's Day and the anniversary of the death of Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes. Bookstands are set up in plazas and on street corners. Women give books to their lovers while men give roses to the women.

More about Miguel de Cervantes and more about his works & life.

That's neat!

I wish we did that here. Books make such better gifts than candy and roses.

Indeed. I think I shall celebrate this holiday from now on.
