It is hard to write sometimes, because I have to keep myself from appropriating Alan's ideas or his character Alex. Much as I love Alex, I can't use him. He belongs to Alan, and Alan's novel. So I have Charles, who is less of a soldier and doesn't have a gun. He does have a quick temper and a wild sense of self confidence though.

This is the hardest part, picking together all the pieces of plot and praying I have something interesting in the end.
