Gorgeous outside today. If Professor P. hadn't seen me before class I would have been sorely tempted to stay outside. I met her in the basement, while talking in Professor L.'s office. He is revising a major article so Slavic Review will publish it sooner. I think that is where he's publishing it. Hmm. We were trying to figure out how to run the cords out the window so he could set his computer up on the wall outside. It's a basement office, but has a window. There is a little corridor in the ground with a grating on top, for drainage purposes I suppose. At least it gives him a window.

I can't seem to pronounce things with a combination of r and t in Czech. Escpecially when said r has a hachek. We have this wickedly difficult little poem to memorize and it is full of those sounds. I feel like a child learning to talk, it's almost embarassing. I blame the Amarillo horse doctor who clipped the end of my tongue when I was little. I don't know why he thought cutting the end of my tongue off would cure my stuttering. Bah.

Strawberries on sale. I bought a box to eat slowly while I read the paper. So much fruit. Oranges and grapefruits and strawberries. Fresh bread, and light bulbs for my lamp. Some sodas and chocolate for snacks.

I need to do the astronomy homework I've been putting off for days. Sigh. I will be so glad to finish this semester. Only another week.

Clipped your tongue?? Its amazing how stupid people are .. I still can't get over "lobotomies" Hmm.. sorry for the spelling on that .. unless thats right ... looks weird.
