This afternoon we listened to some calls at the office. Some were pretty straightforward, and one caller was especially upset and incoherent. The last call was the longest, and the most provoking. I could tell by the expressions on some faces that people in the training class were visibly upset about it. I wonder about myself that I can listen to these calls and not be so ruffled. But then, I do tend to think the worst of people in many situations. I was more concerned about a different call because of the drug involvement. It's weird.

I picked up my state ID badge this morning. It's spiffy.

I know what you mean. The stuff that upsets other people is stuff I basically find interesting. Even if I shouldn't. But then, other stuff really pisses me off.

Like when we found out during jury selection that it was a capital murder trial, most of the people there were horrified. But, I was happy it wasn't some theft case or something small and boring.

Yeah, see I would have been all over that. Though I just did end up with a traffic ticket case and it was fun in its own way. :D
