I'm reading paperback novels about a dhamphir and her half elf partner. I have to say, the main character is a bit of a Mary Sue- tragic past, black hair with red highlights, pale skin, fantastic fighter, etc. But it is alright really, because it doesn't detract overmuch from the story. The story itself is rather straightforward and entertaining. They certainly don't rate the comparison to Tolkien by an over zealous blurb writer, but they are fun.

Love the dog. They have a fabulous, smart dog. That's cool.

My arms are bothering me. I think it comes from sleeping awkwardly, or the weird weather.
