Did Alfred's niece like playing well?. I get from most parents is ?Can you teach my child to talk?? This question has haunted me for years..

Grapefruit!

I'm washing a load of laundry that is comprised largely of socks. Now, when thugs mess with the laundromat they usually just pry the little lockbox doors open on the machines. I noticed today that someone cut a T-shaped chunk out of the metal top of each washer's coin operation box. You can reach in and poke the wires, pull out the change. Thank heavens the washers still work.

Gasoline is $2.06 now. How much is it where you are?

$2.06?! It's $2.25 here!

You have to understand, gas has always been lower in Texas. For most of the past six months it has hovered between $1.60-1.80. I have never seen it this high. :(

When I started driving, I bought gas for 88 cents.

$2.34 It's killing me. Luckily I get rid of my car tomorrow.

Ouch. I'm beginning to think I might have to start hiking my butt to work.

2.07 at one Shell, and 2.05 at the other. In NC, from what I understand, it's going anywhere from 1.90 to 2.25 a gallon.

And, I am in concordance about strange email names. Today I received some Cialis or somesuch ad from one "Donning Q. Habberdasher" and about fell out of my seat laughing.

I saw $2.12 on burnet today!! Ack.

I wish I was an evil grapefruit with a credit card.

It's around that much in New Jersey and Masschusetts, if you're lucky ($2.16 is more common around here, it seems...)

In New York, it's $2.26. There's a reason I fill up before I leave for home/school and not along the way.

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2005-04-04 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Ouch. Yeah, I've planned my driving to hit the cheapest gasoline.

[identity profile] seraphmoon.livejournal.com 2005-04-04 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen $2.20 in my little suburb, $2.25 up in Boulder, and $2.05 down where my current Habitat site is. There's a Costco that sometimes has gas as low as $1.97.

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2005-04-04 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a sad thing that I can get excited about $1.97! ;)

[identity profile] seraphmoon.livejournal.com 2005-04-04 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. Several years ago as I was driving through Pennsylvania I saw a station with gas for $.99. Exxon station too, not one of those dubious little discount-probably-watered-down ones.

I didn't need gas, but I stopped to fill up anyway. Who can pass up 99-cent gas?

[identity profile] delchi.livejournal.com 2005-04-04 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It range, but maxes out at $2.25 right now.

However, sams club just opened a gas station at $2.19

It was $2.09 last week!

IT has gone up every day here for the past four days. I am beginning to be worried.

[identity profile] melyndabelinda.livejournal.com 2005-04-05 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
$2.17, though I'm driving my dad's old car at the moment, so $2.37 for the premium it requires. Bastards.

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2005-04-05 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ouch. How is your car?
