I got an awesome package. Rose bath bombs, a chocolate mint bath bomb, an imp of Tombstone, glow in the dark dice, a One Ring bookmark, a book about the making of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, some manga and a sampler of anime episodes on DVD. Fantastic stuff! I love it all. It's from my swapping partner on the BPAL boards. What a nice thing. Anonymous gifting is fun to do.

I had a bath last night with the giant rose bomb. It fizzed forever and the bath was full of that rose scent. It was nice, very relaxing. I drank ginger ale and red science fiction.

I put my plush Peeps on my desk. Might as well surround myself with soft and fluffy things to compensate for the phones.

There was a massive traffic accident on 35 this afternoon that shut down all the southbound side. They had StarFlight out, trying to pry someone out of a car that looked like tinfoil wadded up.

Someone asked me today if I would ever get plastic surgery if I had the opportunity. No, I don't think so. I'm not unhappy with my features, just my weight. And liposuction - that is the most disgusting creepy thing. It has to hurt like hell. No way I would endure that. I think I will just give up fast food instead.

I think I will just give up fast food instead.

And not only will you be healthier and more gorgeouser, but think of the money you'll save (both from not buying fast food and not getting lipo).

Right! That's the other thing. Why pay that much money?

Bwahaha, bless photoshop.

Liposuction does, indeed, hurt like hell. In fact, it was the only really painful part of having my breast reduction.

Ouch. How long was your recovery for the reduction? Did it help?

[identity profile] cedarlibrarian.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Recovery was about six months. For three months I couldn't lift anything heavier than five pounds, and I had to drop my percussion lessons and my conducting class. It was totally worth it, though. At 5'3" and 120 pounds, I wore size 4 pants and a size 14 top. I had horrible back and neck and shoulder problems, which I don't have now. I went from a 34DDD to a 34C back to a 34D (don't ask...not my surgeon's fault, my boobs just spontaneously grew three years after I had the surgery) and I'm MUCH happier now. Having the reduction was the best decision I ever made.

Cool. I know someone who is thinking about doing that. I think it makes her a bit nervous though, and she likes to be busy so she is worried about recovery. So it is good to know, thank you for sharing.

Honestly, I was so dazed from the anesthesia for a few days, I wasn't bored. But after a week, I was feeling well enough to do things like go to the movies and dinner with friends, and read.

Honestly, I've NEVER heard of anyone who had the surgery done and regretted it. If she wants to drop me an email, I'm more than happy to talk to her about my experience. I had a wonderful plastic surgeon and went into the surgery totally fearless. I actually think my dad, who took me to the hosptial, was more scared than I was.

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
It takes about a month to a month and a half to get the orders. But it is so worth it.

There is a booming trade in imps and bottles on the forum as well as ebay if you really can't stand it. ;)
