birthday rain

We had a lovely night. Alan brought home these gorgeous star tulips that are pink and red with yellow streaks. They're in this especially neat glass, which is narrow and ovoid. I love them. He also brought soap! Because I have been so good about not buying tons and tons of bath products as usual. Alan picked out a big basket with lavender vanilla soap, bubble bath, lotion and a giant sparkly candle. It's so great.

A nice dinner of seafood goodness, with tasty oysters and shrimps. Then a bottle of Messina Hoff wine, and hours of random talking. It was a very nice evening, almost enough to make me want another birthday. Hah.

I woke up to thunder, and sweet cool rain. Life is good.
