oh delightful hot summer day

I came home for lunch, because there is pizza in the fridge. I kept hearing this weird flapping sound, so I checked the tires when I parked. There are two large chunks of thin rusty metal that appear to have been stabbed into my tire. The tire itself isn't flat yet, but I'm rather concerned about thr structural integrity. I'm waiting on roadside assist to come assess the damage and change the tire so I can see if this can be repaired.

At least my boss isn't worried about when I'll come back. Thank heavens for small favors.
