water water everywhere
Jul. 8th, 2005 03:15 pmI haven't had a soda in almost a week now. Yay me. It has not been so hard to give up. I drink a little more coffee in the morning, but that is alright. I have good coffee and I've taken to drinking it black. During the day I drink a large bottle of water, probably about 34 ounces. While on one hand, purchasing bottled water is somewhat silly because I have running water here and at work. I'm paying for the convenience of the bottles. If it is already bottled, and ready to go, I'm much more likely to remember it. I figure the couple dollars a week I spent is thoroughly rationalized.
It's harder to give up the snacking. No more chips. I have Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches and lots of berries at home. We'll see I suppose. I can only hope that my results are half so good as Melynda's. It seems like it will take forever to lose this weight. I just want my waistline back and down two sizes in jeans. It's a realistic goal.
It is not nearly so hot today. Maybe there will be more rain. One can hope. I yearn for it.

Date: 2005-07-09 08:56 pm (UTC)I've been on a British lit kick lately. But I have vague dreams of a trip next year. Time to get a new passport. I had a very silly conversation half in Czech and half in English recently that made me happy.
