I do not understand Texpresso. The connection here looks faster on the surface. But I have such troubles. I think my AIM is connected but my buddy list doesn't show. So you should message me, or email me.

My boss walked by my desk at 2pm and commented that no one was signed up to take leave today and why don't I just go on home? Pretty sweet. So I went home and had a real lunch and a long bath with my grapefruit vanilla bath bomb. It was intense happiness.

Less happy was my mother. A woman brought in two kittens and claimed to have found them on the side of the road. It was strange. Both kittens looked well fed and clean. They were obviously litter mates. They had the same injuries, a snap to the lower spine/pelvic region that rendered them unable to use their hindquarters. My mother is so upset because it is clear that these injuries were deliberately inflicted on these animals. I thought she might cry, or hit someone. They had to put them down. Poor things.

I was going to sit in Metro tonight, but I was lazy. This was a short drive and there is a parking lot.

Last night I saw Micah at Metro. I told him the whole story of the past few months and cried.

I don't know. I just don't. Frankly, it scares the crap out of me because at work I see the line to animal cruelty segue into child abusing psychopath a lot.

My mother stopped her car in the middle of the road and leaped out after that kid. He's lucky she didn't throw him against the fence.

Sounds like a proxy server to me. A lot of ISPs run proxy servers, whether they're obvious or transparent (or both); they save the ISP money by locally storing frequently accessed traffic (making things faster on the surface because you stying within the ISPs network), but problem arise when the traffic changes for each user (such as IM programs and Internet Banking). I would imagine AIM to be fair regularly accessed. You might want to check with your ISP and see if they allow their customers to run without a proxy server.

It's really strange, but I seem to be the only person with this problem! Argh. I blame the devil and his help maiden Google. A good question though, I should find out where their service is coming from at this shop.

Hey, I screwed around with the proxy settings and now I'm stable! Woo. :D This is me, without any of Anna's technical skill. But I thank you for pointing out that issue!

No problem! :) It's what I do for a living. Personally, I never run with a proxy server -- although I do feel a little guilty since I end up costing my ISP more money for my business.

But in the States, that's less and less, what with the peering arrangments so many ISP have set up.
