He is still in critical condition at the hospital. They say if he survives the next few hours, his chance of recovery is good. But right now it is very touch and go due to sheer amount of trauma.

Eek. I guess I was holding out hope that he was one of the other people involved who weren't dead or critically injured.

The dead man lost control and ended up flying into oncoming traffic and smacked Frank head on. No one really knows what the hell caused it.

It was really weird and strange. One of the other guys form the work crew was driving behind Frank and radioed my father to call 911. His wallet fell out of his pocket in the crash, so the paramedics didn't have ID on the scene. He was about 400 yards from the job site when it happened.
