bad dreams

I should learn not to fall asleep at weird times, or to nap in gerenal. I laid down in my room, thnking it would only be for a short time. Oh how wrong. Four hours later I wake up in a total panic from a nightmare. One of those dreams where the setting is a hodegepodge of places you've seen before.

In the end, I was standing at Guadalupe and Dean Keeton, looking up at the moon, and the high unfamiliar building there. My friend Suzanne was standing at a window on the third floor, and we were talking. The street was dark and quiet. All of the sudden, someone unseen started strangling Suzanne, and I started screaming for the police...
ugh.

Now I've got that nervous edgy feeling where I turn on all the lights. Every time the cat howls or jumps on something, I twitch. Guess I should go wash my face in the sink again.

As you fall asleep, you must think "happy dreams, happy dreams, happy dreams . . ." --Dr. K.

I should try that. ;)
Personally, I blame the fact that I left the closet door open.

Do you like chamomile tea? When I can't sleep, I try a cup of chamomile tea and honey. I stare at the ceiling and slowly drift into sleep. Close the closet door - you have control over your thoughts.

Are you asleep? *smiles* Sleep well tonight.

tea time

I have some excellent chamomile soap from the Czech Republic, but perhaps I should go get some tea too. I have some raspberry, some Irish breakfast tea, some black tea, but no chamomile. To the grocery store!

When I fall asleep at unusual times, I think it upsets my poor brain and I wind up with freaky dreams because the brain is trying to wake me up. I usually won't take naps but my eyes were tired yesterday... tonight I plan on sleeping much more soundly.

Yay! I know its hard to turn the mind off. Sometimes when I'm working/thinking/writing I have thoughts overload and I am awake and anxious.

Peaceful dreams. You have chamomile tea from the Czech Republic? Yum.
