it wasn't even twelve hours

I hate today. Mostly I want to sleep for the next week until it is over.

I wish we had just gotten married before we even told anyone we were engaged. I'm tired of people who want to make our wedding conform to their desires. I hardly think I'm being a bridezilla by wanting a very small wedding and wearing the dress I want. Argh.

hey bridezilla, is your address still the same? With the crazy long street name? I have something to send you.

Oh, it has just very recently changed. Do I have you current email? Mine is amajan at gmail. I hope you are sending me a big bridezilla tiara :P

I'm sorry, babe. No, wanting a small wedding and no crazy white gown that costs thousands does not make you bridezilla. At all. Makes you sensible.

You have my sympathy. I wish my warning had gotten to you two sooner. :-)

No, having your wedding small with your choice of dress in no way makes you a bridezilla.

Been there, done that. I finally had to tell my mom flat-out that Mr. Bead and I would pay for our wedding ourselves, because she wanted it at a church in their town and we wanted it at the church where we were members. And then I promptly made a second budget and started working with it. That's the point where I got my $30 wedding gown in a thrift shop.

Stick to your guns. *hugs*

What happened?

Who do I need to tell to suck it?

You're not a bridezilla, you're just un-American, but in a good way. Vive le not being a bride-sheep!

Yep- weddings make people go crazy. Remember the love is all you really need and everyone else can suck it! :)

*hugs*

Tell the folks to quit kvetching and be happy you're not wearing daisy dukes. Unless you are wearing daisy dukes, in which case I want pictures of your fine self ;)

I couldn't believe the selfishness that came forth out of my wedding, and I didn't even have to deal with any mother-of-the-brides shit.

At least it made for some good laughs now that we're ten years down the road!

Best of luck, my dear friend!

whatever you do, don't let anyone push you into things you don't want. everything tends to snowball - the moment you give in on one thing, they can smell weakness and that's when they go all out. this should be about you and him, not about everybody else.
