I am thinking of buying an ergonomic keyboard. Because I simply do no trust the mass of product reviews on the internet because of my job, I find myself randomly sifting blog posts and articles to find out what people use and like. If you have a favorite ergonomic keyboard, tell me.

Gunther the News Pigeon needs to be on the Daily Show all the time. Honestly, the Daily Show is the only television news I watch anymore. Also, this segment on Turkey Creek is weirdly moving.

Today I saw this Campari ad linked and it is really sexy. That music reminds me of Battlestar Galactica. I sort of feel like I should start drinking Campari. Maybe I'll go buy a bottle and drink it while writing some fiction set in that strange, beautiful moment.

Thanks to someone else's twitter stream, I've fallen in love with Giovanni Boldini.

I bought Microsoft's when I bought my FrankenPC parts only because it was the cheapest name brand ergo keyboard that day in Fry's. It's wired, one piece, not adjustable, and still works just great 2.5 years later.

It's comfortable not only because of the 90 degree angle it forces my hands into, but because I can rest my wrists on the wide pad at the bottom. The positioning never stresses out my arms.

I really like the ergonomic keyboard at work, I'll check the brand in the morning. I have worn the letters off at least half the keys due to energetic typing. While I can't remember the brand, I can tell you the catalogue promised it would be so comfortable, it would be "like typing on kittens!"

This Kinesis is one of the best- http://kinesis-ergo.com/advantage.htm
I had it over 10 years and it still works, but finally got a bit flaky. It's good enough for you to try it out if you want.

I recently bought one of these- http://typematrix.com/
I'm happy with it, especially for the price. I don't write as much code as I used to, so another Kinesis seemed like overkill.

I also type with a dvorak key layout. If you touchtype quickly in qwerty it's probably not worth learning.

The music in that ad is from the movie 'Eyes Wide Shut', which, whatever else you have to say about that movie, it had interesting music. I can send you a copy of the mp3 over gmail if you like!

Also, I bought a boxed set of 2 dvds at Fry's which purported to be documentaries about the Foo Fighters, and one of them is actually about Nirvana. It's 'unauthorized' and a little terrible; want to give it a look?

We like Kinesises here for people who have trouble, but they do take some adjustment time. And they're *expensive*.

I have used (for 10+ years now) the *original* Microsoft Natural keyboard at work (and previously at home too). It raises in the front, has the "regular" inverted T arrow key layout, and a full number pad.

I have a spare at home I can lend (give?) you if you'd like to try it out. It's PS2, but works just fine with a PS2->USB adapter if that is necessary.

They're hard to find any more, but I absolutely ♥ the original Microsoft Natural keyboard--yes, the one from 1996. I even went out and bought a PS/2 to USB adapter so I could keep using mine.

They do occasionally float to the top on eBay; PS/2 adapters are cheap at wherever.
