Perhaps people were mad about the Rapture Fail, or just the awful muggy weather, but people were driving like shit today. I saw an accident on South Lamar and later almost had one myself. It was a terrible day to be driving all over town. I also screwed up my pin number with my rarely used ATM card, meaning I couldn't buy an awesome bat necklace.

On the brighter side of things, I got to hang out with redstapler and drink coffee and mimosas. We brunched delightfully and I showed her the true path of Kerbey Lane Queso. Then we went to this crazy craft fair that was like wandering around the Etsy website. We were surrounded by owls, mustaches and hipsters. Some guy tried to convince us we needed furry hats for furry sex. It was a little awkward. All in all, pretty good though.

I met Mike at the Alamo Ritz for the Cage-athon Master Pancake. It's amazing how much weird, weird, weird stuff that one man has done. I still think The Vampire's Kiss is one of the funniest things ever. Also I had a delicious cocktail made of gin, champagne and Paula's orange. Zesty!

There were crazy drivers out there yesterday! I had planned to go wander around some stores while the husband hogged the Playstation and TV, so I got on Rundburg headed to IH35 and in the next two blocks saw one near wreck, someone crossing the road in front of a ton of moving traffic and barely missing getting hit by someone not noticing him, and was almost plowed into by someone else just totally running a red light (I mean, it wasn't even just slightly red), so I just went right back home. Some days, it just doesn't do to be out there with the crazy drivers.

This past week has just felt extra extra nuts whenever I've driven anywhere.

Any time I am forced to use 35, it is never good.
