dinner, at least
Tonight's menu is bison roast with baby bella mushrooms in a veal demiglace, served with a baguette and mulled wine. Mostly local too, except for the spices like cloves. Where do cloves even grow?
Making food is one of those ways I show my love and gratitude, when I am less than eloquent. I am so grateful for my spouse, who is a kinder and better man than I ever hope to be.
edit: after dinner
Who pulled the meat out at exactly 141 degrees without even checking first? This guy! Perfect rare, And everything was pretty damn tasty.

We're having sushi, which husband picked up because I am too tired to cook. I do not deserve him!

I'm no expert, but I *think* cloves originated in Indonesia though they're probably grown in other areas now as well
