37 degrees

My shoulder aches a bit, probably form sleeping too tightly wrpaped in blankets. It's cold out there, enough that I will wear my winter coat and my furry Russian hat today. I only get to wear them a couple days out of the year in Texas.

Finishing up a paper due today. Living Like a God: The Daily Lives of the Egyptian Gods. Mostly I stare at Alan Rickman and let my thoughts wander over the printer hum.

When I walked outside earlier, you could smell ice in the air. No surprise to find my car with a shining crust tonight, or to see the glittering patches on the road. Drove home slowly, checked the mail, turned on the news. It never got above 36 today.

Ryan complimented me heartily on my Soviet hat and winter coat today. I like these winter clothes because I feel good in them, attractive and comfortable.

Sat in Metro this afternoon, and I didn't want to leave. So perfect, my vanilla hazelnut coffee, the music, the grey light outside, the metal and glass, the faint shimmer of smoke. I could have stayed all day.
