take me home country roads
Jun. 23rd, 2002 11:02 pmDriving Saturday night, past gas stations and fast food stops, water tanks and stock ponds, over the Colorado river four times, past a private airfield and a candy factory, all these little towns and lights and houses and a world unkown beneath a shinig round moon so bright we could have turned off the headlights.
Driving back tonight, the moon golden and round after the sun drifted blood red into the haze, and we stopped at the very same spot I stopped at with Greg all those years ago. Strange, how these things work out.
