On the long list of things to remember: drinking coffee and then gin on an empty stomach is not the best thing to do.

But it was perfect in Metro tonight. The Cure and Tool, the rain outside and the pleasant crowding, reading and making notes, ending up with a table of eight. Just the feel, the color of the light and the sound reminded me of so many nights there.

So grey, so muted and wet. There is no caffiene left here, but I don't fancy the idea of wandering in the drizzle up towards the Diamond Shamrock. Perhaps tea will help more mentally.

It is a good day to stay home, drink tea in the bath and read.

Gene's faxing my resume, and I have high, unrealistic hopes that it will result in something. I need a job. I need income. I need something to do.

Tomorrow I'm going out to take care of some of my Christmas shopping.

I just killed my laptop, and it is so fucked I can't even begin to describe... one of those moments w'm using Gene's iBook to email the people who might miss my presence, and damn it, I want this fixed right now before I start to freak out about it.
