blueberry muffins

Many years of cooking with Betty Crocker blueberry muffin mix have led me to this most scientific and curious conclusion. They actually provide the cook with enough batter for 13 regular sized muffins. Now as most muffin pans have only twelve spaces, this leaves a muffin's worth of batter to be eaten out of the bowl after the muffin pan has gone into the oven.

The cat is very interested in my muffin mix.

I hate after hours life insurance commercials. They creep me out. For the love of all that's green and good in the world, don't bury me in the ground. I want to be turned into a sparkling diamond. I'm utterly serious. When we get around to making wills and such things, I'll make it a formal declaration.

Watching Cowboy Bebop, on the other hand, does make me extremely happy. I dig Faye Valentine.

No Saints or Angels

It was reading No Saints or Angels that convinced me to reformulate my opinion of Ivan Kilma's work. It's a beautiful book, and quite moving. Somewhere I have pages and pages of notes and quotations I copied out of it during my first reading.

Currently reading it again, as I picked up a copy in the bookstore over the weekend.

best cops episode ever!!

I just saw the weirdest, most cracked out Cops episode ever. They dressed a cop up as a clown and used him for a prostitution sting. A clown!! Completely and utterly freakish!!! They were picking up crack using trashy women right and left. I am profoundly disturbed and I think this means I need to go to bed now.
