New icon, courtesy of all the people who pointed me towards the original picture. Originally it was a Final Fantasy character, but I stripped out the color and tried to make it look like the moon was behind her. It's for Anna, my werewolf character. She's fairly young, and has a pretty interesting background.

I'm going to attempt some original fiction about her. Since I can barely remember the last time I wrote anything new I'll probably filter the entries. So, if you want to see any of it you need to vote.

Well, the tickets and fines from the DPS are taken care of as of today. There are many ways in which I would rather spend $889 but I am forced to admit keeping my husband out of jail is high on the priority list. I yelled in a nicer way that if I ever had to bail him out of jail it should be for something good like getting arrested at a protest against war or saving the whales or something.

I am utterly relieved though, that something is paid off. Alan and I are getting our bonus checks at the end of the month, and we'll dump both of them into my account. It should be enough to cover everything. I just redid the taxes and we're getting the smallest return I've seen since I started filing taxes. Ugh. Well, a hundred bucks is a hundred bucks. I shouldn't complain, except that I have the sneaking suspicion I'll never see any of this Social Security money I've contributed.

Karen's daughter is sick, so no yoga. I have the feeling I wouldn't get sick, but I'd carry it home to Alan. So I'll try to stretch myself out and prepare a bit for having my ass kicked by the yoga. When I called Karen and asked for her house number she started telling me how they didn't have one, and I was confused. How can a house not have a number? How would the postman find you? But she thought I was talking about phones, and I'm never the most coherent when I wake up.

Reason number #849 why I love Alan:

We're watching Trading Spaces and I mention how I like Vern the designer and the carpenter Ty. They're fun and I would let them decorate my house. Alan looks at me and says, "There needs to be some slash about Vern and Ty."
