i go dreaming
Oct. 8th, 2004 07:20 amWith the dreams, I usually know what's triggering the symbolism. When I'm sick and miserable, or seriously depressed, I dream about tornados and monsters much taller than me. I still remember the horrific nightmare I had in college that involved the Easter Island heads walking around.
The other dreams that stand out are the hyper-real ones, the kind that are hard to shake the next day. I dreamed once during my breakup with Michael about him leaving me for another girl in the desert, and being stabbed on the steps of the Main Building. I dreamed about Lucius sometimes, and it was very much the one I created to play and not Jason Isaacs.
Last night's dream has me baffled though. I was at work, and there was a bit of the usual random nonsensical interaction with coworkers based on snippets of conversation and events jumbled together. However the real event was not once but twice I put a David Bowie cd in my computer and the bloody computer caught on fire. I'm freaking out and spraying it with a fire extinguisher, and can not for the life of me understand why Bowie's music from the 70s would make my computer catch on fire. No clue.
My turtles came out pretty nice. They are a bit thinner than I would have liked to make them, but I only had a square 9" pan instead of an 8" one. Not that it matters.
I have to come home and clean up the apartment before Melynda gets here!
