you can't take the sky from me
Sep. 19th, 2005 12:11 pmThe Firefly marathon yesterday was awesome. I ate a lot of strawberries and steamed pork buns while watching the episodes. So much fun. plus, the Rolling Road Show is going to do an advance showing of Serenity and Joss will be coming if they get it set up. So tempting.
We learned to say many rude and unpleasant things in Chinese, thanks to the father in law of a Draft House employee. Always good to add to the swearing repetoire.
Really had such a good time. Now I'm full of laziness and sitting here on the sofa in Tyler's home that technically is not Tyler's sofa.
Creepiest moment of yesterday:
While waiting outside in line on Colorado, we had a good view down the alley by what used to be Polyesthers. I saw this scruffy man in a dirty tye die shirt poking around the dumpster behind the club. At first I thought he was pulling out liquor bottles for recycling to make some cash. Then I realized he had a plastic cup and was pouring the warm remains of liquor in the bottles into one foul cocktail. You really have to be desperate for that fix. It was ugly and sad.
