bad moons

Something is bad wrong in the state of Texas, looking at the calls we had coming in today and the insane volume. I don't know why. Fortunately my trainees didn't have anything too scary to deal with. They did get to learn how to deal with bitchy, stupid reporters though. Ahh but I think my folks will do alright. Training is hard, and I have to be twice as focused as usual, plus curbing my desire to make them do things the way I do them instead of what is best for the worker. So much of the phone work is individual and you've got to play to your strengths.

I'm so glad to be home. The clouds are blowing in and it is humid out there. Tomorrow will hopefully be a short day. Melynda is in town, so we get to hang out and have fun. Working six days in a row is no picnic.

I'm terribly cranky and having trouble keeping it under control. Everything's just been peevish since I got out of work. I'm tired maybe. What I should really do is not read the damn internet. My list of what I'm sick of hearing and fed up with has mushroomed in the past twenty four hours.
