Jul. 15th, 2006 05:45 pmWork was insanely busy this morning, as we were swamped with all manner of peculiar things including mass insanity on the phones, a lack of supervisors, and video cards that went boom. On the bright side of crazy, I showed myself to be capable and remembered to take care of a messy situation. After about 3pm, it went dead quiet and it's been slow ever since. I'm making busy for the last fourty five minutes of my shift. You just know when you take that last call that it will be messy. Especially given the unusual number of multiple reports across the board today. I think every person in here has done at least a double or a triple.
Wearable Sculpture updated today with some beautiful things. Kythryne is the death of my ability to budget. I'm wearing my Alchemy earrings today, pictured in my icon. They have such a lovely green sparkle in the sunlight. Along with those earrings was a perfect green glass bead wrapped in copper wire. I'm so enamoured of it (as is the wizard) that I strung it up along with my pendant from Racheline. I find myself sad that Kythryne isn't doing custom work right now due to her upcoming travels because I had this crazy idea that I want a bunch of small little wrapped beads or stones to be strung on a cord to wrap around my ankle. It would be brilliant.
It's sad but the biggest decision I have every day, and the one I spend the most time on is which pair of earrings to wear. Hah. My paper rose earrings are too wonderful for words. My Alchemy earrings make me very happy. I have my pirate earrings, my garnets, my vineyard pair, the blue goldstone wings, my leaf and flower bead earrings, my big green baubles, the pearls... Lots of very shiny objects. My bedroom table is an explosion of shiny and sparkling.
I'm close to finishing the next chapter of my story. Hopefully I can get that put together tonight. The thought of relazing is so appealing. It hasn't been a bad day. Got my contacts in on the first try, too.
