Some social workers argue that the violent end to Frederick's 15 years with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services could have been prevented.
Think about this. We ask social workers to go into the homes of the most screwed up families, violent homes, domestic violence situations, the houses of drug dealers and meth addicts, homes that are health and safety hazards in every way imaginable. They do this without a gun, with an escort. Of all the CPS and APS workers I've ever met, every single one could tell me stories about being threatened. In some places, it is almost impossible to get a police escort. They do all of this, for far less money than you would think would be in any way reasonable for this dangerous of a job.
I hope these people rot.
