yuletide is here! winter is coming! it rained last night!

I hope my Yuletide writer found my Yule letter helpful. It's so hard! I try not to run off forever about everything I've ever loved or box them in with requests, but I also want to provide some ideas. I'm so excited to see which request gets picked, because the possibilities for any of them are so great. Every year I'm just so excited to get a story! Somehow, they are always just perfect.

My assignment is FABULOUS. I am so looking forward to writing. Though I am full of nerves because there's Dear Yule letter or anything. I will feel bad if I write something dark dark dark and they go "rainbows?" or some other snafu.

So maybe today I'll roll around in the source and start work. I have everything except Friday off work, so many days just to write. Drink coffee. Write. Drink wine. Write. Make eleven million cookies. Write. THIS IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR YAY!

In keeping with the spirit of YAY! it rained last night. I woke up to thunder. Then I went back to sleep and dreamed that rm helped me with this insane wedding cake for someone we didn't actually like and then we decided to sabotage it. Hilarity! I blame all the wine I drank last night.

Every evening I address a few more envelopes. If I do just a couple, my handwriting doesn't degenerate into my characteristic illegible scrawl. I'm hoping to get through them all over the holiday, so I can mail them out first thing in December.

Tomorrow I need to make a random grocery run. Fear. Mike and I are planning on making cookies on Thursday, and then we have a pot luck thing to do on Friday. I should also probably acquire some food for us to eat on Thursday. No big holiday plans this year since we don't have family in town.

Mostly I just want to drink peppermint mochas, mulled wine and write!
