This year my presents were all candy and toys. I'm okay with that.
My Yuletide present, now that is extra special. Probably nine months ago I saw that Absolut Vodka commercial with Swedish House Mafia and racing greyhound robots and strange people on a desert flat in beautiful clothes. I knew, knew it was what I would request for Yuletide. Indeed I even struggled to come up with other requests because my brain was obsessed with this commercial.
Well, my Yuletide writer gave me a gift beyond my imagining. It's vicious and beautiful and magnificent, a world of strict and strange rules that govern families and lives with their politics. But there is also the hot beating heart of love and anger beneath it. It's amazing. I would read a whole series set in this imagining.
