Oh, my first genuine job rejection. Surprisingly, it hurts, for something I couldn't truly care about. Perhaps it is just the abruptness, and how depressing it is to be turned down for a lame job.
I bet I can beat that :-P Unfortunately it never feels any better when you get rejected the second time. Actually, the worst is when you think you did well in an interview and find out a month later that they turned you down but forgot to tell you.
Heh. Not that I really want any of these jobs... but I would feel a hell of a lot better working at something. I find it irksome that I can't get a certain job just because I lack arbitrary requirements. I can do office work in my sleep, come on. Bah!
I happen to know that two people were recently fired or quit from the History Programs department at the Texas Historical Commission. You're probably over-qualified for this job, but here it is anyway: http://www.thc.state.tx.us/jobs/jb3_01.html
My mom works as a librarian over there, and they had a former pco employee, David, working there for a while
