Apparently one of our health care providers has been supplying bad information to many, many callers. Alan just had a conference call with both our major providers to straighten it out, and so now the necessary referrals have been handed out. Appointment making will commence tomorrow.

In Texas, under the law, health care providers are required to cover mental health care including both psychologists and psychiatrists. You can't be in the insurance business here if you don't do that. I've never had so much trouble in my entire life getting care from any insurance provider before. Ugh.

I want more 7-Up cake.

what is seven-up cake?

It's a pound cake with seven up or sprite thrown into the mix to make it a little fluffier. Mmmm delicious.

Nasty -- which company would that be? I have no idea what our insurance options will be when we get down there, but it would be nice to know who not to go with. Especially given that the first thing I need to do once I get there is to find a good psychopharmacologist...

We leave this weekend; we'll probably arrive around the 30th.

Aetna handles most of our insurance, and I hate them madly. MHN does our mental health care coverage and I rather like them, except for the fact that no one knows what to say on the phone.
